El Cotillo is far from your typical tourist hotspot – and that's exactly what makes it special. This authentic fishing village on Fuerteventura, about twenty kilometres from Corralejo, is home to Tao El Cotillo: a small apartment complex where peace and quiet take centre stage. The apartments are practically furnished and offer plenty of space, especially the maisonette-style units that sleep up to five. Spend your days lounging by the freshwater pool, stroll to one of the nearby restaurants in the evening, or head to Los Lagos beach just under half a kilometre away. Shops, bars and the village centre are all within easy walking distance, but don't worry – the crowds stay well away.
