This is the hub of tourist services for the mystical clifftop refuges that loom above it. This article also includes Kastraki (Καστράκι), a neighboring village at the west approach to Meteora, and Theopetra (Θεόπετρα), a village near a cave occupied by humans for over 50,000 years.
